Command reference

curio with no command opens the two-panel interface. Every command below prints plain text and returns an exit code.

Options on every command

Option Meaning
--server, -s <url> Workspace address. Default: the current one, or CURIOSITY_SERVER.
--session <id or name> Session to use. Default: the last one used on this workspace, or CURIO_SESSION.

Signing in

Command What it does
curio login Sign in through the browser. Asks for the workspace address when none is given, and whether curio may approve changes.
curio logout Sign out, revoke the stored token and forget it.
curio whoami Print the workspace, the account and the session in use.

curio login options:

Option Meaning
--store auto\|keyring\|file\|none Where to keep the token. auto (default) is the keyring, else the file.
--no-browser Print the sign-in link instead of opening a browser.
--approve Ask for the right to approve and apply changes from curio. The sign-in page still decides.
--no-approve Approve changes in the browser; do not ask.

See Signing in.

Sessions

Command What it does
curio sessions / curio sessions list List the sessions on this workspace. * marks the current one.
curio sessions new [name] Create a session and make it the current one.
curio sessions use <id or name> Make a session the current one.
curio sessions rename <name> Rename the current session (or --session).
curio sessions rm [--yes] Delete the current session: the conversation, and every uncommitted change in its sandbox.
curio sessions reset [--yes] Throw away every uncommitted change in the session's sandbox.
curio sessions stop Stop whatever the session is running: a command, or Sudo's turn.

Running commands

Command What it does
curio run -- <command line> Run a command in the session's sandbox. Its output and exit code are passed through.
curio run -f <script> Run a script file in the session. -f - reads the script from standard input.
curio tui Open the two-panel interface, the same as curio with no command.

The sandbox's own commands (build, commit, changes, pull, revert, graph, query, type, uid, tasks, …) run through curio run. curio run -- help lists them.

Changes and commits

Command What it does
curio status List the files this session changed, and the commit waiting for approval.
curio diff Print this session's changes as unified diffs.
curio commit show Print the staged commit and its diff.
curio commit approve [--yes] Apply the staged commit, or review it in the browser when this curio may not approve.
curio commit discard [--yes] Throw the staged commit away. The edits stay in the sandbox.

Stage a commit with curio run -- commit -m "…". See Approving changes.

Files

Command What it does
curio ls [path] List a sandbox directory (default /workspace). M, A and D mark what this session changed.
curio cat <path> Print a sandbox file.
curio get <path> [local] Download a sandbox file to a local file or folder (default: the current folder). Prints the file's hash.
curio put <local> <path> [--expected-hash <hash>] Write a local file into the sandbox, as an uncommitted edit. A directory path keeps the file's name. With --expected-hash, the write is refused unless the sandbox file still has that hash; "" means it must not exist.
curio rm <path> [--recursive] Delete a sandbox file, as an uncommitted edit. -r deletes a directory with its contents.
curio upload <files…> Attach local files to the session. They appear under /home/uploads.

Skills

Command What it does
curio skills list [--all] List Sudo's skills: name, kind and what each is for. --all adds the skills that travel with another.
curio skills search <words> [-n N] Search the skills' names, descriptions and bodies; every word has to appear. Best match first, with the matching passage. Default 10 results, at most 50.
curio skills show <name> Print one skill, as Sudo reads it.
curio skills install [folder] [--global] [--force] Add the curio skill to a coding agent's skills folder (default ./.claude/skills; --global for ~/.claude/skills). --force overwrites a copy edited since it was installed.
