How to configure what types of files are indexed?

Curiosity can search most common file types, and you can select which ones you want to make searchable or not at any given moment under Preferences.

How to configure file types to search

To configure which file types you want indexed and searchable with Curiosity:
In the left bar, click the cog (⚙️) icon to open Preferences
Go to the section File Types in the left bar
Click the toggle next to the file type you want to activate/deactivate

Index specific file types

Notes

If you hover your mouse over the file types (e.g. Slides, Documents, Sheets, Books etc.), you can see which extensions are included in each category.
You can choose to index certain file types only on your computer, or only on your apps - just activate/deactivate the corresponding toggle.
