Spaces

What are Spaces in Curiosity?

Spaces give you a place to save things in one place (e.g. for a project or customer). You can also think of them as tags.

The advantage of Spaces is that you don't need to move the files or messages. That lets you organize things without having to create copies.

How to Create a Space

To create a Space in Curiosity:
In the left menu, hover over Spaces and click the + button ("Create a new space")
Give your space a name and an emoji (click on the emoji to select a new one)
Click Create

Your space will appear in the left menu under Spaces.

How to Add and Remove things from Spaces

There are two ways to add something to a Space:

A. Drag an item from the app (eg. a search result) and drop it on the Space.

B. Add it via the menu:
Select a result by hovering over it with the mouse or selecting it using the arrow keys
Right-click with the mouse or press Tab
From the pop-up menu, select Add to Space
In the list of Spaces, select the Space you want

When you add things to a space, they are not moved on your computer or cloud apps. The Space just stores a reference so everything stays where it was.

To remove something from a Space:
Select a result by hovering over it with the mouse or selecting it using the arrow keys
Right-click with the mouse or press Tab
From the pop-up menu, select Remove from Space

The result will be removed from your Space.

Downloading a Space

You can download everything in a Space as a zip file.

To do so:
in the left-hand menu, select the Space you want to download
In the top right menu, click on the Download icon
Choose where to store the download and what to call it and click Save

Curiosity will download copies of everything in the Space to your computer in a zip file. The original files (etc.) will stay where they were.
