Keeping your data safe and private is our top priority.
That's why we built security into the core of Curiosity.
The Curiosity app does everything locally on your computer. Everything stays on your computer and nothing is sent to the cloud. Neither we nor third parties ever see, copy or store your data.
For cloud apps, your computer downloads the data directly from your cloud provider (e.g. Google or Dropbox).
Nothing passes through our servers. We never see, copy, or store any of your data. After the data is downloaded, everything else is done locally on your computer.
Curiosity's search index is encrypted with the enterprise-grade 256-bit AES encryption. Requests to cloud APIs are encrypted using SSL.
Your data is encrypted with the same encryption you use on your hard drive.
Yes. We do not process your data in the cloud so all your data stays on your computer. At Curiosity we store personal information (name, email) only for managing licenses. Payment information (credit card, address) is stored by Stripe. Logs you share with us might be stored temporarily so we can investigate issues and improve the app.
